Want to take a list of strings and join them together into one string?
Use the join() method of strings like this (note: this looks funny at first).
>>> a = ','.join(symlist)
>>> a
'YHOO,RHT,HPQ,GOOG,AIG,AAPL,AA'
>>> b = ':'.join(symlist)
>>> b
